Modern cosmology define that Sun is positioned about 30,000 +- 6000 light years away from the centre of Milky way black hole. it is amazing to note that Shrimad Bhagavatam (. ) says that sun lies 30,000 yojan from Sheshnag ( black hole).

It must be noted that astronomical yojan is different from the routine earthly yojan and in astronomical setting 1 yojan equals 1 light year.
Holy text Manu Sahita written at end of descending Satyuga around 8000 BC define that sun moves to and fro around black hole (not in a circular path rather a sinusidal path).

This give rise to 12,000 years of Shukla paksh Chaturyuga and 12000 years of Krishna paksha for Chaturyuga, thus a total of 24,000 years of one sinusoidal move.


Modern day cosmology cleary agrees with Manu Sahita that Sun travel through its path of 12 modern day constellations in 24,000 years.

starting from the first house of Aries to the first house of Libra; in the month of March, April, May, June July August and September at the junctions of nearby constellations 12,1,2,3,4,5,6 define the movement in region of distant arch from sun.

The apparent monthly movement of Sun due to movement of earth around sun orbit, from 6 to 12 o’clock happen in Libra scorpion Sagittarius, Capricorn and Pisces constellation. The Earth is nearest to the sun in the month of December at 9 o’clock position that is the the junction of Sagittarius and Capricorn constellation.
